Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport are preparing for the final round of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at the iconic Brands Hatch, where Jake Hill will make his last appearance with the team as he battles to secure a hard-fought third place in the championship standings.
This year’s season finale carries special significance for the team, as Jake Hill makes his final appearance in the series after a glittering BTCC career that has delivered 62 podiums, 22 race wins, and a memorable Drivers’ Championship title in 2024.
The 2.43-mile Brands Hatch GP circuit holds particular importance as the home track for both Hill and the team. Since forming their successful technical partnership with WSR in 2022, Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport have consistently impressed at Brands Hatch GP, securing six podium finishes in the last nine races, including two standout victories.
Heading into the weekend, Jake sits fourth in the standings, just four points behind Dan Cammish, and is aiming to secure third place in the championship despite having missed the Croft round due to illness.
This weekend, Jake will be piloting his #1 WSR-run BMW 330i M Sport with the team once again, carefully managing his TOCA Turbo Boost (TTB) deployment. With Jake jumping up to fourth in the standings following Silverstone, he will have 7 seconds of TTB available per lap in qualifying—deployable only above 130 kph—and will now be permitted 4 laps of boost usage in the opening 15-lap race on Sunday morning.
Round Ten gets underway on Saturday with two free practice sessions followed by qualifying at 15:15 BST, streamed live on the ITV Sport YouTube channel. All three races take place on Sunday, with live coverage on ITV4 and streaming on ITVX. Sunday’s triple-header is scheduled for 11:25, 14:05, and 17:30 BST. Live timing for all sessions is available here.
Jake Hill, Driver – Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport
"This weekend will definitely be an emotional one as I make my final appearance for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport in the BTCC, and doing so at my home track feels like the perfect farewell. We head into the round in good form as we've closed the gap to third place in the championship. And the goal for this weekend is to secure that third place! I’ve proudly called the BTCC home for almost a decade, and I can’t wait to get out there, give it everything I’ve got, and close out a brilliant chapter for both myself and the team."
Mark Blundell, Sporting Director – Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport
"This weekend marks the conclusion of a memorable partnership between the team and our talented driver, Jake. Since 2020, we’ve shared an incredible journey together, reaching the very top of the BTCC. While it will undoubtedly be an emotional weekend for everyone involved, we remain focused and determined to secure third place in the championship after a challenging 2025 campaign. Jake has consistently shown his speed at this track, and I have every confidence it will be another successful weekend for the team."
