Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport officially launched its 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship campaign on 25 February, unveiling the liveries for its two-car Toyota Corolla line-up at an exclusive event in London.
Hosted at The Bike Shed Motorcycle Club in Shoreditch, the evening brought together partners, media and special guests for a first look at the team’s striking new designs ahead of their public debut.
Set against the venue’s distinctive industrial backdrop, attendees were given a behind-the-scenes insight into the team’s preparations for the upcoming season, as the covers were lifted on both cars in front of a packed audience.
The event also gave guests the opportunity to hear from key figures within the team, as drivers Gordon Shedden and Árón Taylor-Smith spoke publicly about the 2026 season for the first time, following appearances from Team Founder Mark Blundell and Chairman Theo Paphitis, who shared their ambitions for the year ahead.
Together, they shared their excitement for the year ahead, offering insight into the team’s preparations, its strengthened line-up and the collective drive to deliver a competitive campaign in one of the UK’s most fiercely contested championships.
Mark Blundell, Founder of MB Motorsport, said:
"This event is always a special moment in the year as it brings together our partners, our team and our wider network to officially kick off the season. There’s a real energy around the group heading into 2026, and we’ve worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to put ourselves in a strong position. With the line-up we have and the partnerships we’ve built, there’s a lot to be excited about."
Gordon Shedden added:
"It’s great to finally get the covers off and share the car with everyone. There’s been a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes, and you can really feel the motivation within the team. I’m excited to get started, get back out on track and see what we can achieve together this season."
Árón Taylor-Smith commented:
"Events like this really build the anticipation for the season ahead. You can see the effort that’s gone into every detail, and I’m really proud to be part of it all - it gives you confidence as a driver coming into a new campaign. I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel and working closely with the team to maximise everything we have this year."
The launch represents a key milestone in the team’s pre-season build-up, bringing together its growing partner network while setting the tone for the campaign ahead both on and off track.
With anticipation now building, fans will get their first chance to see the new-look Toyota Corollas in action at the opening pre-season test at Croft Circuit on 24-25 March.
