Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport head to the home of British motorsport with a trip to Silverstone as the team looks to contest the penultimate round of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
The team and driver, Jake Hill, head to Silverstone with their WSR-run BMW 330i M Sport to tackle the 1.6-mile National configuration. Renowned for its simplistic layout, with three straights and three corners, the venue offers plenty of overtaking opportunities and racing action around each lap.
Silverstone has been a happy hunting ground for Jake and the team, with it being the scene of some superb performances, with the past four visits to the circuit seeing Jake claim 4 race wins, 5 podiums and a lap record to boot.
This weekend, Jake will be piloting his BMW 330i M Sport, with the team once again carefully managing his TOCA Turbo Boost (TTB) deployment. With Jake remaining fifth in the drivers' standings following Donington, he will have 9 seconds of TTB available per lap in qualifying—deployable only above 130 kph—and will now be permitted 9 laps of boost usage in the opening 22-lap race on Sunday morning.
Round Nine gets underway on Saturday with two free practice sessions followed by qualifying at 15:30 BST, streamed live on the ITV Sport YouTube channel. All three races take place on Sunday, with live coverage on ITV4 and streaming on ITVX. Sunday’s triple-header is scheduled for 11:30, 14:40, and 17:10 BST. Live timing for all sessions is available here.
Jake Hill, Driver – Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport
"After narrowly missing out on the podium places at Donington, where we showed some great pace all weekend, we head to Silverstone looking to go that next step further and challenge for those results we know we can achieve with the pace we have worked so hard to find. Silverstone is always a highlight of the calendar, and we have had some fantastic results here as a team spanning all the way back to 2021! We will be giving it everything this weekend to be battling at the front, and I cannot wait to hit the track."
Mark Blundell, Sporting Director – Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport
"The season is entering the closing stages, and we are as motivated as ever to challenge at the very top. Jake and the team have been working very hard to get us closer to the sharp end of the grid, and we know we have some great pace heading into the penultimate round. Silverstone is a special event on the calendar, so all focus is on carrying forward the momentum for another successful weekend out on track!"
